Terms and legal notice

The small print, in plain English.

These terms cover this website and any private work you buy from me through it. By buying, you’re agreeing to them, so please read them first.

When you buy private work on this site, you’re buying from me, Alexia Leachman EI. Head Trash, Fearless Birthing and Fear Free Childbirth are brands of Blossoming Limited (UK). Ladder of Growth belongs to Ascendrix Systems Limited (UK), and anything you buy on ladderofgrowth.io comes under its own terms.

2. What this work is, and what it isn’t

My work is coaching and emotional change work. It isn’t psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatry or medical treatment, and it doesn’t replace any of them. Nothing on this site or in our sessions is medical advice or a diagnosis.

If you’re in crisis, contact your doctor or the emergency services (112 in the EU, 999 in the UK). If I think clinical support would serve you better right now, I’ll tell you plainly, and I may decline to start or continue the work.

The case studies and measured changes on this site describe what happened for particular people. They’re not a promise of what will happen for you.

My work is for adults aged 18 and over.

3. Buying and starting

You can buy most of my work directly at checkout, or book a fit conversation first. A fit conversation doesn’t commit you to anything.

Our contract starts when you complete checkout, or, for work I’ve quoted to you, when you accept the quote and pay. If, before we start, I don’t think the work is right for you, I’ll tell you and give you a full refund.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include everything described on the page for that offer. You pay in full at checkout unless a payment plan is shown there.

4. Timeframes

Each piece of work has a clear fence. One Thing runs for up to one month. Upgrade Your OS and Professional OS each run for four months, and Leadership OS for five. The Internal Architecture Scan includes one session and a roadmap, with any add-ons you choose.

Time and sessions don’t carry over past the end of the work unless we agree it in writing.

Rescheduling sessions: if you need to move a call, let me know at least 24 hours before it starts. With less notice than that, the call counts as used.

Arriving late: calls end at the time we booked, so if you arrive late, the call is shorter.

5. Your right to change your mind

If you’re buying as a consumer, for yourself rather than your business, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel and get a full refund (French Consumer Code, article L221-18). Just email me.

If you ask me to start the work inside those 14 days, you’ll be asked to confirm that at checkout. If you then cancel inside the 14 days, you pay for the part already delivered (article L221-25). If the work is fully delivered inside the 14 days at your request, the right to cancel no longer applies (article L221-28).

The same goes for recordings and other digital materials: once you’ve agreed to get access to them straight away, and you have, you can no longer cancel for those.

If you’re buying for your business, the 14-day right may not apply.

Ending the work early. Your 14-day right to change your mind (above) always applies. After that, it depends on the programme:

ProgrammeIf you end it early
One ThingOnce we’ve started, no refund.
Internal Architecture ScanOnce the Scan session has happened, no refund. Add-ons that haven’t started yet are refunded.
Upgrade Your OS, Professional OS, Leadership OSIf you stop during month one (mapping), I refund 75% of what you’ve paid. After that, no refund.

If you’re on a payment plan, the instalments for the part you’ve started are still due.

If I have to cancel: you choose between a new date and a refund for the part not yet delivered.

Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

6. Confidentiality

What you share with me is confidential. I won’t pass it on unless you agree, the law requires it, or there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.

I record the mapping session at the start of our work. If we do a wound healing on a call, I record only that part, with you muted, so the recording is just my voice. I don’t record any other calls. The privacy policy explains how I handle your data.

7. Your part

This work depends on you taking part. The decisions you make and the actions you take, during and after our work, are yours. Please tell me about anything that affects the work, including any clinical care you’re receiving.

8. Tools, materials and recordings

As part of our work I’ll give you tools and materials to use, such as audio recordings, worksheets, frameworks and exercises. They’re my intellectual property. The recordings are my voice, made by me.

You get a personal licence to use them for your own change work while your access lasts:

  • One Thing: while we’re working together, plus one month after we finish.
  • Internal Architecture Scan wound-healing recordings: three months.
  • Upgrade Your OS, Professional OS and Leadership OS: while we’re working together, plus two months after the programme ends.

The licence is yours only. You can’t copy, share, publish, sell or teach from them, or use them with anyone else. That includes coaches, therapists and practitioners, including practitioners trained in Head Trash Clearance, who can’t use them with their own clients.

I use these materials with my own clients across my work, including under Head Trash, Fearless Birthing and my own name. That doesn’t give anyone else a right to use them.

Everything on this site, including the words, images and design, belongs to me unless it says otherwise. Please don’t reuse it without asking.

9. The AlexAI chat

The chat on the homepage is an AI trained on my work. It’s there to help you think and find your way around. It can get things wrong, and nothing it says is personal advice from me or medical advice.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits my liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, or for fraud.

If you’re buying for your business, I’m not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, business or opportunities, and my total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the work.

11. Complaints

If something’s gone wrong, email me with what happened and what you’d like done about it. I’d much rather sort it out with you directly.

12. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The version that applies to your work is the one in force when you bought it.

13. Law and courts

These terms are governed by French law. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protections your own country’s law gives you and you can bring a claim where you live. For business clients, the courts of Nîmes, France have jurisdiction.
