Burnout ER · from £25,000

When somebody has stopped functioning normally at work, it isn’t a performance problem.

Burnout ER is for the point where the usual conversations about productivity, resilience or leadership are no longer very useful, because somebody has hit the wall.

Their ability to think, decide, cope or work the way they normally would has significantly deteriorated. The priority isn’t getting more out of them. It’s understanding what’s happening and supporting a safe route from acute difficulty back towards functioning.

What the work looks like

Concentrated, private work over roughly three to four weeks.

Where it’s useful and appropriate, we establish a baseline, map what appears to be contributing to the current state, work intensively on the areas within my remit, and monitor what’s changing.

If return to work is part of the picture, we can take another reading before that point where timing allows, so the conversation is informed by more than “I think I’m ready”.

ERBurnout

Medical and clinical care.

Burnout ER doesn’t replace medical or clinical care. Where somebody needs assessment, diagnosis, medication, psychotherapy or other clinical support, that belongs with the appropriate professional. My work can sit alongside that care where appropriate.

For organisations

Paying for the work doesn’t buy access to the person.

An organisation can commission the work. What it’s paying for is the work, not the private content of the sessions.

We agree in advance what can appropriately be shared (for example, practical status or return-to-work information) and what stays confidential.

  • Typically three to four weeks of concentrated work.
  • Privately funded, or commissioned by an organisation.
  • More complex return-to-work situations are scoped separately.
